Fraser Health also offers the Best Beginnings program, where you can find practical information and reliable resources for women, expectant parents, and families with babies and toddlers up to 2 years of age. Learn steps to have a healthy pregnancy, give your baby a good start, and support a healthy future.

East Burnaby Family Place

East Burnaby Family Place is a community neighbourhood facility that provides a free service for parents, caregivers and children aged newborn to school-aged. Parents and caregivers can meet others in a supportive and friendly environment to share experiences, information and ideas.

We provide a resource library, toy lending library, volunteer opportunities, a fully qualified E.C.E. teacher, referrals to outreach programs, clothing exchange, parenting programs, hot lunch days and an informative monthly newsletter.

Children can learn invaluable social skills and share with peers in our playroom equipped with creative and educational toys, puzzles, paint and craft materials. We encourage free play and have structured activities such as craft time, circle and story time and outdoor play.

The Recreation Credit Program

The Recreation Credit Program, a program of the City of Burnaby, provides a credit to Burnaby residents in financial need. The credit can be used at any Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Culture facility for programs and admissions. You must apply each year.  Contact the Recreation Credit Staff at 604-320-2227, to confirm your start or expiry date, or with any other questions about the Recreation Credit program.
