Their AIDP offers a variety of supports for Aboriginal parents and their child who are at risk of, or who may be experiencing developmental delays. They work in partnership with community partners such as: Public Health Nurses, Doctors, Nutritionists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Specialists. - Spirit of the Children Society (SOTCS) is an Aboriginal non-profit society serving families in the Burnaby, New Westminster, and the Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody).We work to empower and strengthen Aboriginal families by providing support and resources through the programs we offer. St. Leonard’s Youth and Family Services has been providing innovative social services for children, youth and families throughout the Lower Mainland since 1967. St. Leonard’s offers a range of services and programs to strengthen children, youth and families; supporting them through the changes that will lead to a more stable and positive future. We provide counseling, assessment, mediation, life-skills training and parent and teen support groups. We also offer a number of residential programs, as well as services to foster parents. St. Leonard’s mission is to provide flexible and innovative high quality child and family services, to promote the development of skills and values that embrace the ideals of a healthy community, and to be the most responsive and continually improving agency in our field.
The Purpose Society is committed to working with you and your family to meet your goals. The Purpose Society was established in 1983 and has provided social services to thousands of children, youth and families. Currently, they provide the following services or programs: Edmonds Youth Resource Center, Family Futures, Food Bags, Showers, and Laundry, HIV/AIDS Educational, Support Services and Resource Library, Kitchener Out of School Care, Madison Daycare, Pregnancy Support, Ready Set Grow Daycare for Young Parents, Rosser Daycare, Young Adult Learning Centre, Youth and Family Caseworkers, Youth Source and free Youth Medical Clinic, Yukon Crescent Daycare.
